In Lytle v. Nutramax Laboratories (C.D. Cal., No. 5:19-cv-00835), plaintiffs alleged that packaging and advertising for canine Cosequin products misrepresented their effectiveness for joint health. Nutramax denies wrongdoing; alongside the $11,500,000 fund it agreed to remove three packaging claims about mobility and joint support. Class members are California residents who bought covered canine Cosequin products for their own household pet (not resale) between May 3, 2016 and May 6, 2022 — seven products across the DS Maximum Strength and Plus MSM chewable-tablet and soft-chew lines (the official site lists each). Claims pay up to $25 per unit, capped at $150, one claim per household, reduced pro rata if claims exceed the fund; no receipts are required, though all claims are subject to verification.
