Discover Card Merchant Settlement
Against Discover Financial Services, DFS Services LLC & Discover Bank
Merchants that accepted Discover cards from 2007 to 2023 may be owed a share of a $1.23B fund over cards Discover allegedly misclassified as higher-fee commercial cards. The filing deadline has just passed; the fund is distributing.
About this settlement
Discover allegedly misclassified certain consumer credit cards as 'commercial' cards beginning in 2007, causing merchants to incur higher interchange fees. The $1,225,311,279 fund (minimum class payout $540M) covers End Merchants, Merchant Acquirers, and Payment Intermediaries that processed misclassified Discover transactions. The claim deadline was May 18, 2026. ClaimBridge helps already-filed claimants monetize or track their recovery and assesses late-claim eligibility.
