Flagstar Bank Data Breach
Against Flagstar Bank, N.A.
Flagstar Bank customers and employees hit by the bank's 2021 data breaches can claim roughly $60 with no documentation — up to $25,000 for documented losses, plus an extra $100 for Californians — until August 11, 2026.
About this settlement
Angus v. Flagstar Bank covers two 2021 incidents — the January 2021 Accellion file-transfer breach and a December 2021 network intrusion — that together exposed personal information of roughly 2.19 million people. The $31.5 million settlement pays a base cash payment around $60 (up to $599 depending on take-up), reimbursement up to $25,000 for documented losses, an additional $100 statutory payment for California residents, and three-bureau credit monitoring. Claims are due August 11, 2026, with final approval October 1, 2026. ClaimBridge finds it, lays out what registering takes, and readies your registration as a class member. What you can claim: the largest documented-loss tier in our catalogue — up to $25,000 per person for losses fairly traceable to the breaches, with proof. On top of that, and stacking with it, a residual cash payment the administrator currently estimates at about $60 but which can reach $599; another $100 if you lived in California when the breaches happened; and three years of three-bureau credit monitoring. As everywhere, self-prepared documents such as handwritten receipts are not enough on their own. You need the Settlement Claim ID from your postcard notice to file online; without it, email the administrator.
