In re Google Assistant Privacy Litigation alleged that Assistant-enabled devices activated on 'False Accepts' — recording conversations without the wake word — and that Google disclosed some recordings to third-party human reviewers. The $68 million settlement covers May 18, 2016 through March 19, 2026 and pays two tiers: purchasers of Google-made Assistant devices (Home, Nest, Pixel devices, etc.) an estimated $18–$56 per device, and a smaller $2–$10 payment for people whose communications were captured or disclosed without a device purchase. The claim deadline is August 27, 2026, with final approval October 1, 2026. ClaimBridge finds it, lays out what registering takes, and readies your registration as a class member. What you need: the purchaser tier is documented, not self-certified. The claim form requires, for each device claimed (maximum three), the model name, the serial number or IMEI number, and proof of purchase — a store receipt — uploaded with the claim. Dig out the Google Store order emails or the retailer receipt before you start; the serial number is in the Google Home app under each device's settings, and a Pixel's IMEI is in Settings > About phone. The privacy-only tier ($2–$10, for conversations recorded without a device purchase) asks for no documents, just the Google account email. What you can claim: a proportional share of a $68 million net fund, allocated in points rather than dollars — four points for each eligible Google-made device you bought between May 18, 2016 and March 19, 2026, capped at three devices, so twelve points at most; plus one point if your conversations were recorded by a false accept or shared with a review vendor. The two can combine. The administrator states outright that "at this time, it is unknown how much each Settlement Class Member who files a timely and valid claim will receive." Every form must be personally signed under penalty of perjury by the class member — or by a parent or guardian for anyone under 18 — and no claims aggregator may submit claims in bulk.

Who is eligible?

• You purchased a Google-made Assistant-enabled device (Google Home, Nest, Pixel, etc.) in the U.S. between May 18, 2016 and March 19, 2026, or
• Your conversations were recorded by Assistant via a False Accept or shared with Google's review vendors during that period.
